WhatsApp Group On Infection Control & Hospitality Hygiene Launched At Clean India Show 2018

A special conference on Systematic Approach to Infection Control and Hospital Hygiene was held at Mumbai, yesterday. Part of Asia’s largest show on cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation, it was addressed and participated by eminent doctors and experts from the healthcare industry. The day-long conference featured comprehensive sessions on Present Practices and Redefining Approach to Infection Control, Behaviour, Attitude and Attire in Infection Prevention, Paradigm Shift in Quality and Systematic Approach to Infection Control, Technology to Combat and Control Infection, Hospital Hygiene and Linen Care. Dr. Deepesh G. Aggarwal, Head Department of Critical Care Medicine, Saifee Hospital; Dr. Abhay Chowdhary, HOD- Microbiology, JJ Hospital; Dr. Om Shrivastav, Director- Infectious Diseases, HIV Medicine and Immunology, Jaslok Hospital; Dr Jayanti Shastri, HOD- Microbiology, T N Medical College and Nair Hospital among others presented their valuable recommendations on the specified topics.

The event also witnessed the launch of a WhatsApp group on Infection Control Measures by Mr. JP Nair, Managing Director, VIS Group in the presence of Mangala Chandran- Editor in chief, Clean India Journal, Dr. Jayanti Shastri- HOD of Microbiology, T.N. Medical College and Nair Hospital, Dr. Bipin – CEO, S.L.Raheja Fortis Hospital, Dr. Anju Kagal- Prof. of BJ Government Medical College, Pune and many other prominent people. The WhatsApp group aims to provide well-timed updates on infection control measures by connecting with over 400 hospitals across India with utmost ease.

Part of the 15th Edition of Clean India Pulire along with Waste Technology Expo, Laundrex India Expo and Car Care Expo, the activities represented second day of the Expo. It was inaugurated by Dr Ranjit Patil, Hon’ble Minister of State, Home (Urban), Urban Development, Government of Maharashtra on January 18, 2018 at Bombay Exhibition Centre. The concluding day will host dedicated conferences on Facility Management and Laundry, Dry Cleaning and Textile Care.
