According to Allahabad Chief Medical Officer Dr Alok Verma, displaying the name of doctors, their mobile number along with photograph has been made mandatory for the convenience of patients, reports ToI.

However, doctors posted at government hospitals, PHCs and community health centres (CHCs) have expressed their concern over the move asserting that this would surely disturb their personal life and create nuisance for them.

“When doctors are busy examining patients at their OPDs, the continuous ringing of mobile phone could hamper the working as we could not be able to switch it off,” a senior doctor, who preferred anonymity, has been quoted as saying.
