Nightingales Home Health Services, the pioneer in providing home healthcare, organized, ‘Nightingales Circle of Care’, a knowledge sharing platform for nurses. Nurses at all levels from reputed corporate, private, government and charitable hospitals from the city attended the conclave. The aim of the conclave was to upgrade the clinical skills in various modalities of nursing care. This is the first of a multi-city conclaves being planned to empower the nursing community at large.
The conclave received great responses from the nursing fraternity. About 160 nurses attended this conclave. Also, this was not just one conclave that Nightingales organized but they will organize series of conclaves in different cities.
Lalit Pai, CEO, Nightingales Home Health Services, emphasised the importance and the role of nurses in the healthcare system. “Nurses play an integral role and are as important as doctors for a patient. The doctors or specialists are responsible for diagnosis and treatment while it is the nurses, who stay with the patients and give them care,” he pointed out.
Sessions on, ‘Advances in Wound Care Management’, ‘Quality in Nursing Beyond Hospital Care’ and ‘Prevention of Medical Errors During Nursing Care’ were the highlights of the conclave. Some of the best minds of the healthcare industry, including Dr. Vikram Guduri, Regional Clinical Consultant, 3M, Asia Region, engaged the nurses in an insightful interactive session.
The conclave is also a platform for the nurses to exchanges their learning to improve their professional skills, which in turn will benefit the patients.
