Monitra Healthcare receives USISTE funds for developing cardiac care solutions

Monitra Healthcare, one of the startup healthcare solution providers, which was initiated at ‘T-Hub’ in Telangana, has been awarded financial grant from United States India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) for developing seamless cardiac care solutions.

Monitra Healthcare runs with the vision of dramatically reducing the effects of heart disease by making monitoring and pre-emptive cardiac care a seamless part of patient’s everyday life, USISTEF in collaboration with DuPont have agreed to fund the healthcare Monitra-Healthcarestartup.

The USISTEF grant will accelerate innovation of affordable non-invasive sensor solutions that improve patient compliance thereby increasing the diagnostic yield. DuPont USA will collaborate with Monitra Healthcare to develop breathable yet waterproof stick-to-skin materials for the Indian market.

We are delighted that our collaboration with Monitra healthcare will facilitate the development of innovative design and materials for the next generation of wearables in the Indian healthcare segment,” said Ranjan Patnaik, technology director, DuPont Knowledge Center, South Asia.

T-Hub identified Monitra Healthcare as a potential market leader in digital health sector and is helping them by mentoring their growth and also strategizing with them.

Monitra Healthcare received the Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) last year from Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) set up by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Bhogu, CEO, Monitra Healthcare said, “Heart rhythm disorders still remain severely underdiagnosed due to the unpredictable nature of the disease. We are excited about this award and our collaboration with DuPont as these will allow us bring cutting-edge innovations that help solve this huge unmet need.”
