Mio Global has entered the Indian market and launched a bouquet of products on Amazon India. The company has launched the Mio FUSE, Mio Alpha 2, and Mio LINK wearables in India.
“India holds huge potential for Mio Global, as the country is moving towards a more health-conscious and fitness-focused society as a whole. We plan to be in India for the long term to continually bring our technology and products to the growing health and wellness market in India.”
Mio is known to be the company, which made the world’s first watch with a heart rate monitor.
Mio’s products will compete with the burgeoning market for wearables in India. In the last 6 months global players in fitness wearables like FitBit and Jawbone have launched their products in India. Jawbone’s products are available on Amazon India, just like Mio’s.

Even Apple launched the Apple Watch in India in November, which is a fitness focussed wearable by the world’s biggest technology company.
Mio’s product line includes smartwatches and smart bands.
The market for wearables in starting to heat up in India as even traditional consumer electronics companies like Micromax are also venturing in the wearable space with its YU subsidiary.
Even Chinese start-up Xiaomi has been going great guns with its Mi Band. Recently, the company also unveiled the Mi Band 2 for the Chinese market.
